Our Nursery
At Mount Nod Nursery the children have the best of both worlds: a dedicated classroom area with its own entrance solely for pre-school, coupled with the opportunity to join in whole school events such as Book Fayre, Nativity play, special assemblies and more.
We currently offer morning teacher led nursery sessions:
15 hours per week
or
Full day teacher led nursery session
The nursery has its own wonderful, well-equipped, outdoor play-area available all year round. We also have use of the Foundation Stage Forest School on site. There is always a qualified teacher, proven to give children the best start in education and teaching and a teaching assistant in the classroom, planning exciting activities and assessing the children within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
During the summer term, there are regular opportunities to link with the staff and children in the Reception class which eases transition into the main school.
Sessions in addition to the Government funded 15 hours per week can be paid for privately or through the 30 hour Government funding for eligible families.
The session times for Nursery are as follows:
Morning Nursery 8:45am – 11:45am (15 hours funding). Parents can choose to extend their morning session to 12.15pm incurring a fee currently of £3.85 per day for the additional half hour.
All day Nursery 8:45am-2:45pm, this equates 30 hours per week. If you are a working parent and eligible for the 30 hour funding, then there will be no charge to you for this session.
If you are not eligible for the 30 hours funding but would like to utilise the all day nursery option, the first 15 hours will be covered by funding and there will be a fee of £19.25 per day (£96.25 per week) for the additional 15 hours.
Teaching continues until 3:15pm, parents can collect their child at 2.45pm or choose to pay for the additional time from 2:45pm -3.15pm incurring a fee currently, £3.85 per day.
